The Royal Yatch Club of Denia has started one of the most important events of its agenda of regattas in 2006: The 2006 29er European Championship that will take place from the 1^st to the 7^th of July 2006.

In the morning, the control of measuring and the formalization of the registrations to compete in the regatta have been done. Later, the competitors have realized the tune-up of the boats to have the first experiences with the route of the regatta.

The evaluation of the first day has been very positive, with a first training where the vessels have experienced the initial contact in this famous place of regattas. Here, the competitors will challenge for the different parts of this important competition.

The weather conditions have been very favorable in the first part of the championship with a constant wind of approximately 17 knots, a suitable speed for this kind of vessels that are mainly characterized by speed.

Once in land, the competitors and those present to this event have been offered a wide village service where they could have a rest to get their strength back and know in a better way all the possible activities they can enjoy.

The Royal Yatch Club of Denia with an excellent introduction letter in organization of international sport events. It has been fixed to accommodate the organization at the 29er European Championship, the category that follows Musto Skiff dinghy sailing’s evolution.

This recent generation class is a great evolution for this sport in our country. Therefore the first time that comes to Spain one event of the 29er international event, highly well-known in Europe.

It is one of the largest fleet in an international level and at this moment has taken the initiative to promote in our country and the Valencian Community as the pioneer.

We can enjoy this event during July 1^st until July 7^th. It will be around 40 boats with 100 sailors (always with their respective coaches).

During the seven days of this competition, the Royal Yatch Club of Denia will place at your disposal all its facilities in order to give a good logistic coverage. Also the club will have 40 people paying attention to the public that is in this race.
